Log Prcoess Values and Set Points in Alarms Screen

Hi,

Greeting for the day!!
Can you please guide me with the following,

Whenever an Alarm is generated, I want to log and show Process value and Set Point along with the Alarm message.
How all the three things can be shown in an Alarm browser.

Hello @surajkeer,

If the process value is linked with the alarm source, the value and the message (previusly configured) will be stored.
To add the setpoint value, you can add a User Field, linked with the setpoint.
Did you try that?

To show those fields, just add them on E3Alarm.

I am using Version 2.5. Is it possible to link Set point field to User Field in this version too or I have to go with Version 4.8 only??

Can you send me sample application if available in this case in this case?

It’s possible to use in version 2.5.
Open AlarmServer properties and open User Fields.

Hi,

Thanks for the backup.
But would like to inform you the following,

  1. We have to use digital Alarms only in our case which are directly read from the Instruments.
  2. We are having hundreds of digital Alarms, so how it can be identified that particular set point needs to be moved in an internal tag. There can also be a case where 3-4 Alarms will be generated at the exact same time.

Hello @surajkeer,

  1. The use will be the same for all alarm types.
  2. In this case you’ll need to check your application to see what is the best way to apply the user fields in it.

My sample uses an Analog alarm and a internal tag, but you can use any property from any tag to adapt to your application.
